The National Education Month was commemorated in May 2015 by many students across Indonesia.
I was fortunate to get a chance to be involved in a couple of the commemoration sessions with KIR (Indonesian Youth Science Club) Jakarta, during which future scientists from some Jakarta's Senior High Schools mengled to share a broad range of ideas. A great seminar on "Healthy Environment" was hosted by Senior High School 54 Jakarta, while a talkshow on the interlinked issues of "Environment & Natural Disaster" was conducted at Senior High School 49 Jakarta.
With the challenges of enviroment getting stronger from time to time, more ideas are needed from youth who are active and have deep concerns about current issues. Therefore, it's great to see more and more private sectors are offering opportunity and supports for young people who deserves to have it.
