Peat-Swamp forest and we

After having the chance to learn through formal meetings with high-level officials and experts a few days ago on November 3rd-6th 2019, a week after on November 15-18th 2019 I had the chance to have a hands-on experience to learn about peatland conservation in National Park Sebangau, Central Borneo. Thank you Badan Restorasi Gambut @brg_indonesia.  (Detail in my IG)

On one twilight, when I was searching for a fun yet educational content reference in @iamyouthleader, I unexpectedly bumped on an IG post of an essay contest regarding Sustainable Palm Oil which was D-2 of the deadline. The contest feels close to me as it is related to my home town, Borneo. Based on Bloomberg data in 2013, one of the two islands that account for 96% of Indonesia's palm oil production is Borneo..... Proud To Be Part Of Host Broadcaster In 2018 ASIAN GAMES

I could not tell how happy I was when it was confirmed that “Jakarta will host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies” of the 2018 Asian Games. And it was for the first time in Asian Games history, that two cities (Jakarta and Palembang were co-hosting this prestigous 18th edition of the regional multi-sport event, taking place from 18 August – 2 September 2018.

The most joyful moment came to me when finally, after competing with hundreds candidates, I was confirmed as part of the volunteer team under the International Games Broadcast Services (IGBS), which was appointed as host broadcaster by the INASGOC (Indonesia Asian Games Organising Committee).

It was really a privileged to be able to work along with other students from Indonesian universities and academies as part of the IGBS legacy programme, to reflect the commitment of the Games’ governing body to delivering the highest standards of quality, consistency and innovation to create an engaging fan experience.

For me as a fresh graduate student, it was not only a pride moment but also an opportunity to broadening my horizon in learning how to handle with logistics, legal, finance, HR & IT, booking & information, and production of digital content for live streaming and VoD applications.

UI Appreciating Gathering

It's very touching, attending the "appreciation gathering", hosted by UI.

Invited  by the Rector.  Seated among the VIPS.

All about the achievements among UI Community.
Mine got special remarks, probably because there was a touch of UN taste.

Well, not very often Indonesian youth got access to the UN Headquarters in New York.

Should be a start for my greater achievement, as well as a challenge for  myself to be able to contribute more to my almamater, community, and the beloved country.

My "EYE" got a pitching

On Nop 15-16 2017 our project, EYE OF THE FOREST got a pitching in UNDP office and Hotel Borobudur Jakarta.

Eye of The Forest is early detection of fores fires, design for action. A web based lookout for everyone, from everywhere.

Eye of the Forest has an objective to monitor forest fire. It can detect any unusual state of humidity (e.g. humidity is too dry) and temperature (e.g. the temperature is too hot) so it can alarm when there are signs for fire to happen. Whenever fire happens, UV sensor detects fire and alert the people in charge (by sending a message to observer) so they can extinguish the fire immediately before it spreads. Basically, Eye of the Forest helps people in charge to monitor forests so whenever there’s a possibility of forest fire, it will alert the observers to be cautious on that specific area and if there’s fire, it will alert (more significant emergency) the observers that fire happens and should be extinguished immediately.

My Team, Valda Orchidea , Yusuf Maulana and Maude Biettlot from UNDP

Start Early with Start Up

Published in Koran Sindo 15 Maret 2016

It is encouraging to see that more and more students in Indonesia, instead of only focusing on Index Prestasi (GPA) are now getting interest in starting up early to work on their business ideas through their Start Up project. That's the key point of my article published in Koran Sindo, ( http://www.koran-sindo.com/news.php?r=1&n=3&date=2016-03-15)  Maret 2016.
